Rising Sun Performance has been a trader on our forum since June this year. Fellow Wangan Warrior Rob and I concidered it was high time to pay them a visit to take you readers inside the shop. The RSP crew members have been working hard these past years to build the company to the powerhouse it is today. That will be a world-wide tuningshop for cars and parts from the Japanese market, sponsor of different clubs or forums and a familliar face at events or Japanese oriented meetings.

You’ll find the company in Malden near the city of Nijmegen and it’s noticeable by the large RSP Banner on the outside and probably a whole bunch of import Honda’s parked in front of the building.

They have a rather big working space with all the decent tools you need like a hidraulic lift, tyre changer wheel balancer, three watch-dogs and much more. The place is decorated with brand banners such as Tein suspension, Toyo Tyres, Sparco, Works, ACT and the list goes on and on.

This is the master office/entrance/hangout/coffeeroom, you name it. The place where all orders come in online or by phone and all the questions you have concerning parts, projects, service, prices or anything at all will be answered from this room. On this photo you see Ian and Tom.

Here you see Tonny working on his Honda S2000. It’s pretty much stock at the moment but it does have a almost complete facelift conversion.

In the corner some parst are stored for sale, projects and customers. For example this whole bunch of exhausts…

… and Tonny proudly showed me this J’s Racing Titanium FX-Pro exhaust.

Another decent S2K. This is Ian’s pride and joy wich is full of Spoon parts since the car was bought from one of the employees of Type One Garage, one of the Spoon dealerships from Japan. It has full ajustable Spoon suspension, Spoon LSD, Spoon clutch and rolling on SSR LM9 Vienna’s and many more goodies of course.

The F20C is out for maintenance and it looks pretty damn clean is it is right there. More power, extreme offset, repaint in the future? Who knows Ian is keeping it as a secret until his project is done.

There is definitely some stuff going on in here as you can see, cant wait to see te result and show you people this car in a full feature on our blog.

This is a special DC2. At first because any JDM integra rules…

… secondly it’s the first Dutch DC2 with a KA20A engine conversion built by Rising Sun Performance. This example is fully track prepared to do some damage on the tarmac.

Another highly appreciated Integra, the DC5. This is Tom’s car and he has some circuit ambitions with this car. The suspension has been upgraded with a set of Tein Mono Flex coilovers, Toyo R888 tyres on the front, FN2 Gearbox, J’s Racing 60RS Exhaust and some more modifications.

Enough to conquer the second place in the Semi Pro Street class during a Time Attack session on the TT circuit of Assen. And that for a first time track experience. Not bad! At the last Time Attack session of this year at Zandvoort, Tom won the third place in the Pro class.

So that’s it folks. This is Rising Sun Performance, the people behind this company and their cars. I’m looking forward to follow these projects and photograph them in the future. We’ll certainly keep everybody updated.
Rob and I would like to thank the RSP crew for their time and we will definitely meet again. It was a awfully rainy day and I certainly didn’t mind spending a few hours inside at Rising Sun Performance.
