Every year, some Wangan Warriors attend the annually organised German SXCE Nürmeet. Paul and I went there for our first meeting, five years ago. As time progressed people have come and gone in joining us but a rather solid pack of people has formed for the last two years. You might have already linked the name “Nürmeet” to the Nürburgring and you couldn’t be further from the truth. Each year we gather in the tiniest village (it has one street, really) about 18 kilometres from the Nordschleife where we put up our tents. That’s right, no fancy five-star-hotels or anything like that. Tents, a huge barbecue, a lot of Silvia’s and a group of Nissan enthusiats.

Did you spot the 300ZX? Even though it’s a Nissan Silvia meeting, a lot of different cars turn up every year. Some of them aren’t even Nissans. That’s okay though, everyone shares the same passion.

Some people have visited the meeting in previous years when they still owned a Nissan. It’s really cool to see how people, even after buying a totally different car, still come over to enjoy everyone’s company.

Despite the fact that quite some people couldn’t make it to the meeting with their Nissans, some even came in their daily rides and enjoyed other people’s Silvia’s. Niels’ Stealth-S13 is a real eye catcher. It seems to run perfectly every year and has its own style which everyone seems to like, delicate but very different to other S13′s. That’s something you don’t see very often!

The weekend is very well planned out and no one will run short of anything. The only thing no one has control over is the weather and despite the rain we had at some times, we’ve also enjoyed a clear blue sky with a nice and warm sun.
