Wangan Warriors
The Wangan Warriors club is a small, close club of car fanatics which all share the same passion, Japanese sports cars, but all with a different style and attitude.
We're all about hanging out, taking the cars for a cruise and just having a great laugh.
This website was made to let you guys have a look in our lives, enjoy!

Because most of us are settled in the southern parts of Holland we live quite close to the famous Nürburgring, so why haven't we been there already? That is exactly what we asked ourselves and we decided to get an apartment (2 actually) two minutes away from The Ring and what an apartment that was, we had three toilets, two bathrooms, a jacuzzi, the best view in the world... Anyway, unfortunately not everything went according to plan as my car was the first that wouldn't be heading over there since my bonnet popped open on the motorway just a week before and I wouldn't be the only one having issues with my car, bugger!
The day had come! Everyone gathered at my place and we were all ready to leave. I can't quite remember but I'm sure we left at least an hour later than planned thanks to me and my slowlyness.
The cruise over there was cool, 5 minutes of Dutch shit-roads and an enlightenment as soon as we passed the border. (German roads are one of the best in Europe, by far!) An hour and a half of Autobahn fun = no speed limits. I'd also like to thank my cousin for lending me his Civic, I was quite devastated that I wouldn't be able to drive on all the bendy roads over there, I learned that Civics are good fun on roads like that!

I remember all of us being flabbergasted when we got to the apartments, they were huge, and new and just... gahhhhhhhhh! We started checking out the houses and we quickly came to the conclusion that we would be the first people staying the night over, we all still regret only staying there for one night. Anyway, we unpacked everything, got settled (thanks for the room Wil!) and went to The Ring quick snap, just checked it out and went to a village for some shopping. We got loads of junk food, some liquor and drove back to our apartments.
The evening/night was amazing, we had delicious German junk food, had a good many drinks and just hung around in the living room having a great time. Then Peter (the golden bunny s13) decided to make it even more cosy and went out to buy some wood for burning. All went well, until someone decided to put 4 pieces in while it was advised not to put in more than 2. We started smelling the fire quite bad, and the fire alarm went off 2 seconds after Wil said “if we don't do something now, the fire alarm will go off”. I tore the fire alarm off the ceiling and threw it outside, all windows and doors were opened and we kind of waited, a little panicked, until the fire put itself down. Then we had more drinks, and more, at a given moment I remember snacks being passed round and after that there was even more drinking.

Bedtime for us kids, I don't know what happened in all the other rooms but in my room Paul was making funny as hell, erotic, German one-liners. “Dein Gesicht ist mir egal, bück dich mahl”* and many, many followed!
(* German for “I don't care about your face, bend over”)
“WAKKER WORDEN! WAKKER WORDEN! WAKKER WORDEN!”* That's the very first thing I recall after being woken up quite bad by Wil and Mel. I got dressed and went downstairs where I found out that I was the last one to wake up, but it was still quite early luckily. Then I walked around outside where Mel joined me, I remember that we were talking about not hearing any cars driving on The Ring when all of sudden, and I will never forget this, the sound of absolute silence was abruptly disturbed by an air-cooled Porsche doing (one of) the first laps on The Ring that day.
(* Dutch for “wake up”)

We packed, tidied the houses up, heated the engines up and drove off to The Ring. None of us was going to drive on it that day except for Peter (yes, the one with the asphalt-tearing, low ass, golden bunny s13). We also had our friend Emiel in his Evo Lancer 6 coming over, doing some laps and Johan planned on coming as well. And that is just where I'm going to refer back to the part that not everything went well for all of us. Johan phoned us telling that his engine died on the Autobahn... “but I did hit 250 km/h!” Luckily it will be fixed pretty soon as he will be doing massive hp's then, can't wait!
Rob and Peter even got photographed by a professional and the pictures honestly look amazing, very cool! After that and a long, amusing day at The Ring we went home. Drove as a group, went to my place, had a final laugh for that weekend and everyone went home.
Times like these are times to remember, there's nothing better than hanging around with your friends doing what you all like best.
