A couple of weeks ago I got a call from Noud to invite me for a small Wangan Warriors meeting with a special surprise. Without any doubt I packed my gear and went for a cruise to the beautiful landscapes of Limburg in the south of the Netherlands. On the way down there was rain falling down but luckily that cleared very fast.
Sometimes it takes a great deal of courage to take a leap of faith into the unknown. We all take those steps at some point in life and some are more drastic than others. It’s no secret for the average petrolhead that such leaps are business as usual when you’re building a car. Spending your savings on parts, taking the gamble of importing a car, buying an engine from a stranger – all of these things take some courage to go through in my opinion. Continue reading
So here is something I’ve been wanting to share with you guys for a while. A few weeks ago I shared this Work in progress article and told you a little something about our very own Allard’s Rockin’ Roadster. After I captured Allard’s Roadster, he took me to visit JB tuning which was only a 20min drive from his place so I thought it was cool to meet some new faces and discover some projects. I love doing feature shoots. Getting to know people, making friends and finding out what drives them to do what they do. And I’ve got to thank that little black light capturing device for that! However, the thing I love the most about doing features is the story your subject for day has to tell. In this case two subjects! And I think I’ve got a nice story to tell… Continue reading
It’s nice to meet loads of people along the road when you’re out there shooting. Some of the people come over and ask you to e-mail the photos to them others compliment you on your work or they come over and say: He you’re that guy from… (wherever they think your from). I must say that definitely last year I experienced more of these situations. I first met Mick van Randeraat earlier this year at one of the promotional meetings for DMPD2013. Continue reading
During our weekend at the German 200SX meeting there were plenty of S bodies to glance at. When we were hanging out at the Brunchen turn, fellow Wangan Warrior Paul made sure I brought my attention this cool Silvia on the parking area. After a walk around the car I couldn’t leave it there unphotographed. Continue reading
