As a photographer you’re continuously trying to one-up yourself. You keep trying to challenge yourself in new ways and get even better at what you do. In this quest for improvement, you also try to look for events that will help you express your creativity and that will allow you to create exciting images. It was during this quest that I found myself in Riga, where the 4th round of the Extreme Drift Allstars was set to take place. Continue reading

Weekend Wallpaper: A Drifthunts illustration
This week we have something a little different for our wallpaper item. I always have my eyes open for other peoples creativity and I’m constantly looking around on the photopages of other photographers to see what they’re up to. Sometimes it’s just inspiring for myself to better my photography and sometimes it might be a new page or website I visit regularly for some fresh entertainment. Continue reading
Happy 86 Day: One for all generations
Happy 86 day everybody! Who would have guessed that the small lightweight Corolla which was introduced in 1983 would have such an impact to a couple of generations of car enthusiasts? It seems that the AE86, Hachiruku, Levin or whatever variant of this legendary model became a big part of us. Continue reading
BDC Round 3: JDM Appreciation
It was time again to hit the road and travel to one of the further locations on the British Drift Championship calendar for me. Prior to this I had never visited Teesside, but I’d heard a lot of good things and couldn’t wait to take on the challenge of trying somewhere new. Some events are worth travelling five hours for, and I was convinced that Round 3 was going to be one of them.

King of Europe: Battle for the Throne
During the off-season I find myself eagerly awaiting certain fixtures to appear in the motorsport calendar. I had set myself a promise that King of Europe would be on my “to do” list for 2014, and I was determined to make that happen. Then, the fixtures arrived and I had never expected to see my local circuit right here in the UK pop up as a destination for the first time. As you can imagine I was quite thrilled to say the least!

This is Gatebil
Buckle up boys and girls, grab your helmets and brace yourselves because we’re about to show you an event the Wangan Warriors way. I’m pumped with excitement to present another event through my viewfinder and this time it’s not a regular show that we find in the Lowlands. We’re taking you to a place where people wear viking helmets, a place where people burn more rubber in one track session than the entire Middle East in one year and a place where army tanks are decor of a car event. No, we’re not in Iraq, this is Gatebil! Continue reading
Gatebil: The black and white saga
Sit tight! Because you’re about to be overwhelmed with black and white photography. You might be asking yourself why and the answer could be very simple but it’s a rather long and a more personal story. If you don’t mind I would like to approach the first part of our Gatebil coverage in a more photographical way. An in depth view on the event itself will follow soon of course. But for now step into a B/W rollercoaster! Continue reading
Weekend Wallpaper: Smokey Rex
As some of you know, Maurice and myself are currently in Sweden for Gatebil at Mantorp Park. The event has just ended and we’re still shaking from everything we’ve seen and done these past few days. Make sure you keep checking our blog for the coverage which will be published sometime this week. Sweden, we love you! Let us treat you with a nice wallpaper to kick off the event coverage. Continue reading
Drift Allstars: The Big Smoke
During the off-season, there’s always an event you see getting talked about and popping up on your News Feed every time you open Facebook, but it feels a lifetime away and you don’t want to get excited too early. Drift Allstars London was that event. Some of the best cars and drivers Europe has to offer bundled into a street track. What more could you ask for? Glorious weather? Yeah it had that too. Continue reading
Announcement: Content overload!
As we’re planning new stuff and working our way through some of the content that’s coming, we have a few announcements to make so you readers know what the hell is coming to you from Wangan Warriors HQ. There is a lot going on this weekend and I’d like to give you a little taste of who’s doing what, when and where. Our very own Allard is covering the NSX Club Europe Tour and will be visiting a handful of amazing places. Continue reading
