Certain people have good taste. Taste in food, architecture, art, fashion, whatever it may be. I met this guy Ash in the UK a while back only because he has good taste in cars. I would not have met him if he wasn’t in love with ’80s classic Japanese cars. That’s a fact. With that in mind I realise I’m happy to come across so many amazing people while I’m on a trip for this website and I believe some good friendships have come out of certain moments. This makes me very happy. Continue reading
Fall time at the Nürburgring means that the weather will be unpredictable as ever.
This time around heavy fog covered the whole track for hours and there was a large chance that the battle runs on Sunday would be called off.
Thankfully the weather cleared in time and the boys could go out and make some heavy fog of their own.
JDM sunset at the beach is a Japanese car oriented event held at a beautiful location right by the South-West part of the Dutch coast. I was not too sure to make the trip together with my fellow WNGN shooters because we had at least a 2 hour drive and not knowing what we would find on location. Little did I know it was worth making the trip because we had a pretty good evening after all at this meet. Continue reading
As I walk by at events I see a lot of beautiful cars, but what makes me sad is that most of them are only show. Don’t get me wrong about this but I just love a project which has the looks and the performance. What is holding people back to go for the full monty? Is it the money? The time to build? Or maybe the possibility to fail? There are only a handful of people who take the time and have the dedication to build something. Meet Mario, the owner of this beautiful clean and fast Supra! Aaaah, Springtime! Days are getting longer, nature is blooming and the meeting season starts again. Time for the Warriors to organise WNGN 2K16 on what would hopefully be a sunny springday at the end of April. Well… we’ve had some sunshine but to be honest, we’ve had snow, hail, rain, the lot! What is there to say or write about Gatebil events that hasn’t already been said or written? Who hasn’t seen the likes of Aasbø, “Mad” Mike or Vaughn Gittin jr. drifting through traffic via YouTube? So what can I say or write that sounds new or fresh to you? To be honest, I don’t think I can. But I’d still like you to join me on this trip. Gatebil through the eyes of a first timer. That’s right! I got my Gatebil cherry popped at this year’s main event; Gatebil Rudskogen! Continue reading
Become a photographer they said! It will be fun they said! Well to be honest, for about 99% of the time it is fun. But as always some gigs, shoots, days are better then others. So when I got an invite from Kees “street race” Reijne to join him for a BBQ with his buddies in their barn, I knew that this would be one of those Saturdays that would be just a “little” better than your average Saturday! We as human beings all have our own preference – some like it hot, others like it cold. Some like bacon, others are vegetarian. Some like it stanced, others like it functional. Me? I like my bacon hot, but when it comes to cars I really like most of the sub-cultures within the automotive community, something that reflects on the DMPD events as well as you can see here and here, so allow me to show you some of DMPD finest finest! Day one one the Nürburgring Drift Cup has just come to an end and it’s been an intense day. Alex and myself are having a great time and we will spoil you with coverage in the coming weeks. Today was mainly a practice day and tomorrow the first qualifications and competition sessions start. We will be trackside to capture that from beginning until the very end! Continue reading
