What´s 2019 gonna bring?!

“This year is going to be so much better then last year!”. But is it going to be so much better? And what makes it a good year?

Before looking forward to this year I want to look back to a rough year of 2018. A year I only wrote two blogs for Wangan and barely touched my camera. A year we only published a total of six blogs.

Nissan Motorsport at the 24h of Spa 2016.

Living one and a half hours away from the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, the 24 hours endurance race of Spa has naturally been high on the ‘to-do’ list of must-go events.
This year the time had come to finally tick that one off the list so me and Rens Adams geared up with enough spare batteries and Red Bull to last us through the long and sleepless weekend and went on our way. Continue reading

Spa 24h Parade 2016

Rens Adams and myself spent a whole weekend at the Spa-Francorchamps track covering the full Total 24h race of Spa 2016. It was our first time ever shooting at this track so there was plenty to explore and we pretty much covered the whole 7 kilometer track by foot before the end of the weekend. A full event report is in the works, but in the meanwhile here is a little preview from the drivers parade through the city center of Spa. Real GT3 cars rolling down public roads is always a special sight to be seen.

WNGN 2K16 – The Fast and the Freezing

Aaaah, Springtime! Days are getting longer, nature is blooming and the meeting season starts again. Time for the Warriors to organise WNGN 2K16 on what would hopefully be a sunny springday at the end of April. Well… we’ve had some sunshine but to be honest, we’ve had snow, hail, rain, the lot!  Continue reading

2015 – Broken resolutions, life changing decisions and brilliant memories

It’s funny sometimes how fast time flies by. It feels like only a couple of months since I wrote my 2014 recap, but it’s already been a year! If you read that recap then you’ll know that I finished with a resolution for 2015; Take the plunge and move to Japan.  Well, sometimes things don’t exactly go according to plan, but I’d have to say that it’s not necessarily a bad thing because in 2015 – despite a few broken resolutions – I took some life changing decisions and made some brilliant memories. Mimms Honda Day 2015 – End of season finale

During a lazy weeknight, I was browsing on Facebook wasting some time when I saw a message from a buddy of mine who was looking for a co-driver to join him on a trip to Mimms. It caught my attention, I’ve never been to England before and I was curious to see this event and also to see how the UK scene compares to the Netherlands. I had over 25 days of holiday left from work to spare, so I said to myself “Why the hell not?!”. We cruised down to Duinkerke to get the boat to Dover, it was a crazy moment when coming to the French border with the current police and military presence. They stood there with automatic guns after all the drama which has unfortunately unfolded during the past few weeks. Continue reading
