If you’ve read my first blog about the Valtonen Motorsport RX7 a couple weeks ago you probably read that I hoped that that blog wasn’t my last for Wangan Warriors. Luckily for me, here I am with number two! This time I got invited to the WNGN 2K16 event held at an old military terrain near Venray. The forecast for the day was really bad but we did have some good moments to take photos. Continue reading

Nürburgring Drift Cup 2015 – Round 3
For 2015 I had the pleasure of covering all three rounds of the Nürburgring Drift Cup, taking place at the Müllenbach curve of the Nürburgring GP track.
WNGN Guests: Lukas Weißer
Hey there. Assuming barely anyone on here knows me, let me introduce myself. I am Lukas, 27, from a small village near Bonn, Germany. First let me disappoint some of you by telling you that I am not the typical „car guy“ as many of you would expect me to be. I do not hang out with that many tuning guys and gals and rarely attend car meets or stuff like that. But don´t worry, my heart is fueled by gasoline. Motorsport is what gets me going. The love started early and having the Nürburgring 45km away helps a lot to keep the fire burning. At one of my visits to the eifel-forests I brought my mum’s cam. Not to actually „shoot racing“ but to capture what I was seeing as personal memories. From that point on the whole photography thing got a little out of hand and developed into what I am doing today. Nürburgring 24h: Dreams come true
We all have goals in life right? Goals often find their origin in a dream and that’s where the idea of something you want to achieve suddenly comes to life. For many people dreams are nothing more than the word and an idea itself. Dreams do not always come true for everybody which is unfortunate of course. I have a strong belief that no matter how big the dream is, if you persue that dream with the ideas you have you will eventually reach your goal. Continue reading
NDC15: It has begun
NDC15 has officially kicked off with Round 1 of the Nürburgring Drift Cup and boy it was an interesting start of the season. The weeks before an event is always a little nerve-racking and especially when you’re visiting the German Eifel. I’m always hoping for nice weather and praying for some known teams to return to the Müllenbachschleife again. I was happily surprised that some of my favourite teams and drivers signed up again for the start of the Drift Cup and couldn’t wait to get out there. Continue reading
WNGN Guests: Dimitri Stieben | Drifthunts
WNGN Guests will be a series of guest articles from talented photographers who deserve some attention on Wangan Warriors. Dimitri Stieben from Drifthunts is a creative guy with illustrations and a camera. He tells us about his amazing work in this WNGN Guest blog.
“PASSION“
Hello my Name is Dimitri Stieben better known as Dimi and I’m 29 years old. I wasn’t into cars as a kid at all since a car was concidered as a practical tool in our family. The 8th of May 1998 changed everything for me though, and some of you may remember this holy date, as it was the release day of the original Gran Turismo! Continue reading
Weekend Wallpaper: Winter is coming
This weekend wallpaper contains something we don’t see every day. As we all know, the Nürburgring is unpredictable when it comes to the weather conditions. We’ve been teased with some amazing winter scenes from the Nordschleife the past couple of days and I thought I’d drive over there to see it for myself. As we arrived at one side of the track, it looked like it was completely dry but the part of the track on the other side of the mountains were completely covered in snow. Continue reading
NDC Round 4: The core of German drifting
Let’s take a moment to talk about German drifting, something I wasn’t too familiar with until last weekend when I headed to NDC Round 4. The Nürburgring Drift Cup has been a growing phenomenon since the first event which was held in 2013. After the birth of drift culture in Japan it has infected numerous motorsport enthusiasts from all over the world and evidently Europe has got a taste for it as well. Finally Germany has a solid home for drifting alongside some of the bigger leagues from the UK, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia. The famous Müllenbachschleife has been the playing field for this event over the last 5 rounds and has proven to become the core of German drifting. Continue reading
NDC 2013 – A taste of the big leagues
If there’s one area in the world that I love, it’s the German Eifel, home to the famous Nürburgring. With its lovely hills and abundance of trees, it’s almost an exact opposite to the city that I call home, which is Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Once again I would return to motorsport heaven to capture one of the most spectaculair motorsports out there: drifting! Continue reading
Car Life: Heavenly hell on earth
I don’t know what started it, I can’t remember when exactly and I don’t know why this adoration keeps growing. I don’t even know if I have the right pictures to express it and I don’t know if I can find the right words to explain it to you. You’re probably thinking: What the hell is he talking about? Well I’m aiming at my intimacy with the well know Green Hell. This place works in mystirious ways and raises so many emotions and memories within me that I don’t even know where to start precicely. I guess I will kick it off with some historical facts and information about the legendary Nürburgring. Continue reading
