Our good friend and videographer Antonis of Anto Moto amazes us again with some great videowork. He put in great effort for the official Wangan Warriors End of Year 2K15 aftermovie. Thanks again to everyone who made this day happen! See you next season! Continue reading
There are times in life when you need a change of scenery, a new job, a new house or a new car. Most of the time changes are good, but sometimes things can take a turn for the worse. You lose your job, or your house burns down, or your car gets stolen… Or, in our case, the venue in Oosterhout for the W.W. end of year 2K15 event wasn’t available at the date we’d set for the 22nd of November. But sometimes when everything seems lost, things take a turn for the best!
If you’ve been following us over the years than you know we’re big fans of the DMPD concept. It all started back in 2012 at the Enka Factory but after two hugely successful events that location was no longer an option thanks to greedy property developers. There have been a few “smaller” events since 2013, like DMPD Chill & Grill and DMPD finest last year but still, the fact that there was no main event in 2014 left a gaping hole in hearts and minds all across Europe. It was a deliberate choice though because Inne and Michiel wanted to come back with a bang in 2015!
And boy… did they succeed! Continue reading
Evolution. Mother nature’s way of improving our humble blue planet. We started out as a microbe. The microbe evolved into a fish. The fish evolved into a reptile. The reptile evolved into monkey and the monkey evolved into a human being. The same thing can be applied to the automotive scene and in this case I’ll take our own meetings as an example because it’s a perfect example of automotive evolution at its best! Continue reading
Individually we can all be damn proud of where we came from whether you’ve worked hard to finish your project, traveled for hours to get to the event, support WNGN with your photography or video skills or inspire people with the style of your car. Collectively I believe we have one hell of an amazing Japanese car scene right now. If I look back to one of the very first meets Wangan Warriors organised, we’ve come a long way. None of that would be possible without so many loyal people surrounding us throughout the years. Continue reading
DMPD, by now a phenomenon, loved by many, liked by more and lived by those who were lucky enough to be present at some or maybe all of these wonderful events. While I’m writing it feels that I’m starting this article with some kind of closure of a chapter but it’s not what it seems though. We have a lot more to come of these sick events. We thought it was a good idea to save up some content for a little later in the year so we can review some of the cool stuff we came across during the DMPD events. Continue reading
Another event, another success. DMPD seems to make a name for itself when it comes to organising high quality automotive events. But let me rephrase automotive event in this case because the DMPD show was a lot more than just an automotive show. It’s about the people, the scene, the lifestyle and respect. After last years succes it was expected to be held again this year although the rumours were that it was a one-time only event. Luckily the organisation decided to persue with DMPD, it was predetermined to be. Continue reading
For those of who attended the DUMPD trackday this weekend, I think we’re all on the same page about the fact that it was a lovely evening. We are working on full coverage of the evening sessions and the complete vibe so stay tuned. For now your weekly wallpaper! Continue reading
I went to the Zandvoort circuit last weekend to shoot Mick and his new drifter. He’s now driving a S14,5 with a rb25det engine. I will post a blog about the car and the trackday any time soon so stay tuned! For now, your weekly wallpaper. Continue reading
Let me put my cards on the table from the get go; as far as I’m concerned DUMPd 2013 will bring a change to the Dutch car scene in a way we’ve never witnessed before. The reason for that thought is because now I realize how serious and professional the organisation is approaching it from a very early start and the large movement it creates. There is happening more than you’ll probably expect and know, but know this: DUMPD will be remembered. Continue reading
