I’m head over heels in love with drifting for a few years now. At first glance it looks like a useless pastime with way too much noise and stinky smoke, but actually it’s much more than that. It’s an art form, if you ask me. Driving your car in a way it was never supposed to, trying to find the perfect balance between grip and slide while moving forward at insane speeds, is a test of the abilities and courage of the driver. 2K13 captured
As each year is coming to an end I always have the feeling that I didn’t shoot enough, haven’t met so many new people and didn’t make the progress I was hoping for. I think I’m quite happy to say that this year was different. Different in many ways because a lot has changed over the past 12 months in every aspect of Wangan Warriors. Going through the material I’ve captured this year it made me realise how fast time went and how fast things changed. Continue reading
Art of the GT86
It’s easy to agree that us gearheads consider cars or car-projects as art. I myself am absolutely in love with the Toyota GT86 and fortunately I got to drive one myself the other day at Co-ordSport. In the same week I got to photograph one as well at our End of Year meet in Oosterhout and this was a photoshoot which has been on my to do list for some time now. I got in touch with the owner Gunther Lamberts and and agreed that I would spend some quality time with his Toyota at the meet. Continue reading
NDC 2013 – A taste of the big leagues
If there’s one area in the world that I love, it’s the German Eifel, home to the famous Nürburgring. With its lovely hills and abundance of trees, it’s almost an exact opposite to the city that I call home, which is Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Once again I would return to motorsport heaven to capture one of the most spectaculair motorsports out there: drifting! Continue reading

Events: Nürmeet 2013 – A wonderful weekend
Just a few weeks before the DTM, Noud, one of the founders of Wangan Warriors, asked me if I wanted to come along to the SXCE Nürmeet. As a big fan of the DTM, but also Japanese cars this wasn’t an easy choice. The DTM is one of the highlights on my calendar, but I also knew the Nürmeet would be a great way to spend the weekend. After a week of being in a dilemma, I decided on the Nürmeet. I just knew I’d regret not coming along, and looking back on my decision, I’m sure I made the right choice. Continue reading
